"Our Funny Valentines" display. I designed a Valentine's Day poetry and craft idea, utilizing the concept of symmetry from a Math lesson and the abcb rhyme pattern from Language Arts. The students wrote a poem about their "funny Valentine," and then drew it.

snowmenmysteries.jpg

This is a hallway display of our "Snowmen Mystery Reports." Each student chose a mystery and wrote a book report on the snowmen about it. The kids loved making their own unique snowmen! I did a pastel title, along with pastel snowflakes, to add some more art to the hall.

"Our Lucky Leprechauns" display. "Our Lucky Leprechauns" display. Students did a writing piece and mixed and matched their own leprechaun, complete with its own Irish name.

spring.jpg

"Soar  "Soar Into Spring" display. Students did two crafts: In the first one, they made kites, describing what spring means to them. The second craft entailed them making "Adverb Flowers," in which they write a verb on the flower center, and six adverbs on the petals. I drew a sunny pastel background and title.
